What people want… April 4, 2009

When you have a blog, you can check the stats and it will give you all sorts of information. Such as: A line graph of your hits each day for a month, links people clicked on to get to your site, things people search to get to your site etc.

Now I don’t know what is so great about some of these things people are searching for but you would be surprised to know that the following list is what most people are searching for and then happening on my site

  • dead tree
  • lion lamb
  • mud pies
  • lion and lamb
  • lamb and lion

Dead tree? Why is that such an exciting thing? Maybe I should put more pictures of dead trees up for these dead tree hungry people.

Also, I’m hoping that the reason people are so curious about lions and lambs is something to do with Easter coming up. Otherwise, it’s hopeless.

Once, I noticed someone searching “how to make a mud pie.” This led them to my site. I’m sorry to this very unfortunate viewer because I DO NOT know how to make a mud pie. But perhaps it would be good to find out.

My line graph of hits looks really cool. It changes daily. It’s never high for long and never low for long. It’s a zig zag. Except at the beginning…

Each number represents a different day. Starting a month ago and going to today with current hits.

0, 8, 0, 0, 0, 2, 2, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 4, 9, 29, 50, 17, 5, 15, 3, 7, 6, 29, 24, 45, 19, 9, 22, 7.

Randomly, I started writing in my blog regularly. Probably because I was home recovering from surgery and I was bored. So now there are no zeros. WHOO HOO! And I have the coolest abnormal line graph ever. :)

So today was the end of  1st semester and that means… I’m officially half way done with high school. I have three semesters of my 6 semester time at school. Now lets weigh the good and bad of this.

The Rockin Good:

  • No more of those kids who don’t care about school.
  • No more school lunch!
  • No more busy work.
  • Independence!
  • No more of the early morning classes. (In college you pick what time you go to school)
  • No more being treated like a kid.

The Awful Bad:

  • Independence
  • No money
  • No more being treated like a kid. (More responsibility)
  • No food anymore
  • Text books: $80+
  • Your an adult, you can’t do anything illegal without the chance of getting arrested.
  • You have to pay to wash your clothes
  • You don’t HAVE to go to school. It’s a choice.
  • Finals week.

Ah it could go on. But yet, I don’t want to be a downer. I really am excited to go to college and have a change in scenery. I have lived the same place my whole life and it gets a little boring. I’m ready for a new lifestyle all my own. WHOO COLLEGE!

Tips for Black Friday shopping November 27, 2008

So here are a few tips for going Black Friday shopping. Follow them like the Bible. For some of you… better than the Bible.

  • Sleep is for the dead. (Stay up all night. It’s awesome!)
  • Search the adds, find the best sales and pick the stores that will be the hottest.
  • Find all the valuables fast and hide them around the store.
  • Get items that are hot and let people pay you to get them. They will, they are desperate.
  • No shopping carts. They just get in the way. Carry it all in your hands. Don’t be one of those crazy people pushing around two shopping carts.
  • Grab everything you can get your hands on and decide if you want it later.
  • Dress in layers. It’s cold when you wait in line. But when you get into that store, it’s hot. You’ll be running.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. Waiting in the line for hours is killer.
  • Be a people watcher. It’s hilarious what people will do to get the things they want.
  • DO NOT butt in line. People will glare at you the whole time you are standing in line. Then they will get a security guard. That means no shopping for you!

Now you are a skilled Black Friday shopper. Good luck young padowans.
